Why consultBack pain
Back pain, where it comes from.
PhysiotherapyOsteopathyOne hour
A posture, a movement, a tension that settles in, sometimes a problem that comes from elsewhere in the body: back pain often has more than one cause.

What we look at
Looking for the cause, not just the symptom.
We treat back pain of all kinds, sacroiliac pain and other pelvic problems.
Start at home: posture, flexibility, mobility, strengthening, and how to bend. The back care video
For a herniated disc, we sometimes use McKenzie techniques; for posture, Mézières-style postural re-education. And exercises prescribed and taught, so the work continues at home.
The osteo approach makes it possible to spot when the pain comes from another system of the body: a digestive problem, for example, can contribute to back pain.
- “It hurts when I get up in the morning.”
- “It gets me when I bend over or lift something.”
- “I sit all day and my lower back gives out.”
How we go about it
Assess, treat, then continue at home.
- First
The assessment
A detailed questionnaire on your history, then the examination: we look for where the problem comes from, not just where it hurts.
- Then
The treatment
Mostly hands-on, in a private room. Your therapist stays with you for the whole session.
- After
At home
Exercises prescribed and taught, so the work continues between sessions.
